Also served on the organization’s management team. Possesses a managerial background and was instrumental in the organization’s efforts to move ahead in implementing a strong technological infrastructure within the organization.
After the installation of a new computer network as a volunteer, was asked to join the organization to help run the information systems and provide software and hardware support to their staff. Responsible for over 38 users in Washington DC as well as remote offices in Boston, New York and California. Daily maintenance of workstations including backup. Daily support to staff for standardized software and hardware. Provided one on one training on software applications as needed and group training on new applications. Responsible for the inclusion of adding remote offices and adding the capability of remote access.
Responsible for maintaining an organization forum on one of the nations largest information providers, America OnLine, which later grew into a larger presence on the Internet with Task Force OnLine, the organization’s website. The site has received several awards and serves as an information clearinghouse.
Was also instrumental in facilitating the move to new office space in 1994. Was instrumental in building design, fixture acquisition, coordinating and implementing a move schedule and worked closely with the Director of Finance and Administration in all aspects of contract negotiations. As project manager helped oversee the entire build-out process. In addition to new office space in Washington DC, executed the move and new build-out of the New York city office in 1998 as well as plan and execute the expansion of the Washington DC office in 1999.

Established the inclusion of Macintosh-based systems in American Management Systems’ Wide Area Network, AMSWAN. First working within the Creative Services Group providing Macintosh systems support. Maintained workstation and software support for over 7 designers. Responsibility set grew outside of the department, eventually leading to company-wide efforts. Developed schemes for organization of Macintoshes with Windows-based systems into a coherent file server system with controlled access, in collaboration with LAN coordinators in other business units. Planned strategy so the Federal Consulting and Systems Group LAN mimicked the set-up of a Wide Area Network for the company’s continental span of offices. Installed and maintained Macintosh workstations at company headquarters and trained new users as well as perform daily backups and maintenance. AMS’ multimedia practice was a joint initiative between the Federal Defense Systems Group and the Corporate Technology Group. Co-managed the multimedia area and has been involved in many multimedia projects. He has successfully completed 4 stand-alone kiosk projects using Macintosh and OS/2 based systems. In addition to stand-alone systems, created several in house marketing videos and presentations.
