Funerals are not for the dead. They are for the ones ‘left behind’. Some people find comfort at being with others who are similarly grieving. If this is not you then funerals are not a place for you. Just find other ways to offer comfort to your family members and friends ‘left behind’ so they can feel your love and know you feel ‘left behind’ as well.

I hope things are getting better for you. Hang in there. Last time for me it took 16 months to find something. Ack. I hated that. I had to laugh at your interview at ‘you know the place”. While I was interviewing I got down to 3 callback interviews at a successful local outfit here that sells, um, lube. lol. When I didn’t get the job I was upset, but also relieved. How do you explain that one to mom?

If you start a cafe/bookstore…I’m in! (Whether you like it or not! haha!) That sounds genius!! There’s this bookstore in Paris–the only English language bookstore in Paris, actually–that has a little back room where writers can stay as long as they’re writing. It’s so dreamy….

Also, a huge “huzzah” for BBC TV. A big “I know what you mean” regarding GLEE. Guess we’ll find out tonight if it’s a “yay” or a “nay”?

You might be tired just from working out so much! You’ve got cardio rehab and gym! That’s a lot! Also, with more exercise comes more dehydration if you’re not careful. I usually get the kind of headaches you’re talking about when I don’t drink enough h20. Try drinking a lot more water–64 oz a day–and see if that helps, maybe? Hope you feel better!! <3

I had no idea all that you have been going through. Even when we chatted this past year I had no idea you had 4 heart attacks. Very brave of you to put all this out there. It helps to shock all of us into reality. I’m glad you’re recovering and hope you continue down your new found path. Life has a funny way of pushing you in a certain direction. I’m glad you’re here and on a better path. Thank you for putting into words such an emotional and scary journey. We can all learn much from this.

Some tips that have helped and making a difference for me:

I don’t know if you cook or not, but if you don’t, then START. Learn how to season your food with less salt and using other aromatics (like herbs) to enhance the flavor of food. Losing weight also doesn’t mean you can’t eat out. Make better choices from the menu. As much as you can, avoid processed food like fast food and frozen dinners. Eat only food cooked with fresh ingredients. Fast food was my downfall, but when you look at the nutritional information and see the amount of sodium in what we eat, you will scare yourself!

This was a pretty scary experience and I know I have to do what it takes to make sure I”m around for another 44 years!
