Please I Never Want To See This in an Apple Store

This was in a local story here in The OC about how the Microsoft Employees at the Mission Viejo Store broke out into a dance. But it wans’t like one of those Johnny Rocket dances, this one lasted over 4 minutes. That’s right, while customers where in the store (not as crowded as the Apple Store, teehehe) the staff broke out into the lamest dance ever. Customers where found speechless watching the staff of red, blue, yellow and green go into their little 4 minute routine.

At some point they recruit customers to join in the dance and that made it even more scary. I think there was a customer in Orange that was confused  and not sure if he should dance in between the red and yellow employees – poor thing.

I Had to Open It…

Now I’m going to have nightmares again. There was a story on CNN.com about a pet dog that died because of a stowaway spider. Of course, there was a nice ol’ picture of the Camel spider on the page.

I don’t know how big this thing is, and I don’t want to know… I still have the green translucent ones from my dreams last night fresh in my mind.

Why I Don’t Like Bugs

They show up in the weirdest places.

Enough said… now I know they’re just ants, but they could have easily been something else. Ewwww.

I luv my friends. I especially luv Mike over at Flip4Bearz.blogspot.com. I was reading his blog when I came across this little video he had on his site. I won’t say anything else except to say that I “feel” and “understand” exactly how he feels.

My New Cellular Provider sucks!!

So I got up at 6:20 and got over to the AT&T line on El Toro. There were about 100 people in line. A little anxious, I decided to go to the next AT&T store which is new and hopefully no one really knows it’s there. Hahaha. The Woodbury Park location in Irvine had about 70 people in line. I was in line for about an hour. Then an AT&T rep came thru the line and said they only have 50 phones in stock.

WHAT!?!?! 50 phones? That’s it? They said that if you want to say in line, you can open your account and be in queue. So I decided to leave that store and headed over to the Tustin store location in The Marketplace.

When I got there, it looked like a smaller line! Yea! However, when I got into the line, it appears that it curls around twice in itself before straightening out again and into the store. I stood in line behind two guys who didn’t seem friendly. They just got up by the looks of it. I asked them if anyone has made any announcements about how much stock they have. They didn’t look back, didn’t acknowledge me and just said “Ask that guy…”. There was an AT&T rep in the line ahead. Sure enough they came by and said they only had 80 units in stock but there was easily 100 or more people ahead of me. They said the same song and dance about running out of units, but they also offered this:

If we run out of phones this morning, you can place your order in the store and have one shipped to you or you can order one online. Then someone asked about placing an order today and picking it up tomorrow. He said NO GO. They will have 90 more tomorrow, but the line starts all over again for the morning.

That’s bull!! WTF?!?!

I left the store, yelled in the car and headed towards the Irvine Spectrum Apple Store. I drove by and the line was all the way to old Ling and Louies entrance. I’ve done that walk to the Apple store and there is easily 200+ people in line.

Beaten down and dejected…I am now home on my day off. I will go again this afternoon and go without the backpack and laptop to keep things light.

ISS Toilet is Broken

I came across an article this afternoon on CNN. The International Space Station’s single Toilet is broken.  To clarify, the liquid portion of the toilet is broken, solid matter waste is still working.

Luckily, Space Shuttle Discovery is on the launch pad waiting for an already-scheduled launch on Saturday. They will send a plumbing fix it kit on the shuttle.

In the meantime, the astro/cosmo-nauts will have to rely on a makeshift system to take care of their “Number 1″ needs.

So one has to ask. As there no Female astronauts? If you look at the picture (click on it to enlarge), one clearly can figure out where a guy would do his task. One has to also assume that the solid waste system cannot take liquids, so where does a girl go when she’s gotta go on the ISS?
