So Hanna is still hovering around the Bahamas and is showing signs of weakening. Weather conditions in the area are preventing the core of Hanna from strengthening. Winds are holding around 65MPH with a pressure of 989 millibars. Currently it is expected to make landfall in North Carolina around Saturday. Parts of South Carolina will be hit by the outer bands of the storm, with the brunt of it in North Carolina. Hurricane watches have already been posted for parts of Northernmost South Carolina to up the North Carolina coast.
Meanwhile, Ike has strengthened to a Category 4 Hurricane with winds at 140 MPH and a pressure reading of 938 millibars. It is moving North-Northwest at around 15MPH. On it’s current path it will get to the bahamas around Monday. A predicted path beyond that is too early to determine at this time.
