This is a scene from this past week’s episode of Glee. Curt’s dad and Finn’s mom are getting serious and they are moving in together. However, this means Curt and Finn will be sharing a room. Looks like Finn has some issues to deal with. Here, Curt tries to make Finn feel at home and things go awry…

Gleeisms – Prayers gone awry?

November 30th, 2009 12:10 am | No Comments

Ok…remember our bear buddies (Jason Whipple and his buds) from up north who did their rendition of Glee’s Say a Little Pray For You?

Well they have been such a hit on the internet, that a Brazilian TV talkshow has found it and held some kind of contest. I think. Watch the clips. You’ll die laughing!

Glee: Hairography

November 26th, 2009 5:32 pm | 1 Comment

Glee HairographyA few moments of note of last night’s episode of Glee. This week we find that Sue may be leaking set lists to two other high schools that will be competing at sectionals. The first being the Jane Adams Girls School. Mr. Shuester goes to visit the shcool and undergoes metal detectors and metal doors. Rough school. He invites them to a “scrimmage” at William McKinley. J.A. shows that McKinley’s Glee Club “isn’t ready for this Jelly…” with their rendition of Bootylicious.

Next the school for the deaf “hears” that McKinley invited the Bad Girls and felt left out. So Mr. Shuester has them to a little meetup at McKinley. Mr Shuester is blinded by all the hair from the Jane Adams girls that he has our Glee club singing something from “Hair” and hair is all they got. This song features Artie and Mercedes. I really like Artie.

Next up the show choir signs (not sings) their song. It is one of the most touching moments in Glee history (well all 12 weeks of it).

Mr. Shuester decides the hair and the glitz isn’t needed and goes back to old school and the group shares their version of True Colors while Sue tries to entice the other two schools in her scheme. [ Note to Tim, I hope you know this song after this episode. It was originally sung by Cyndi Lauper in 1986. ]

Oh…none of the videos are my property and copyrights to FOX and Glee, etc…

GLEE: Wheels and Tears

November 11th, 2009 11:03 pm | 1 Comment

gleelogoGlee took a couple of weeks off, but came back with a bang tonight. I found myself crying tonight. There was a moment tonight that had me in tears. When Sue was at the hospital and signing in and then finding out that she had an older sister with Down Syndrome and how she visited her often, we saw a side of Sue that no one knew about. Earlier she was compelled to hold auditions for Quinn Fabray’s vacancy on the Cheerios. Well a girl named Becky, who has down syndrome, auditioned for the team and Sue instantly gave her the spot after doing her routine.

Will thought Sue was up to something. Then later in the episode we see Sue riding Becky hard, but in reality, she was treating Becky just like any one of her teammates.

gleecastWe also saw the storyline of Artie. At the beginning of the episode we see him “dancing” in the auditorium al by himself to the tune of “Dancing By Myself”. Artie had been in his wheel chair since he was 8 due to a car accident. Mr. Shuster wanted everyone to experience what Artie was going thru and had the Glee Club wheel around in wheelchairs for a few days. They held a bakesale since Principal Figgins didn’t want to pay for a special bus so Artie could ride up to Sectionals with the team. Ultimately, mostly due to Puck, they raised $1200.

But Artie turned it down. He said he wasn’t the only wheelchair bound person at the school and surely wouldn’t be the last. He offered the $1200 to add a wheelchair ramp to the inaccessible auditorium. When Will went to present this to Figgins, we find that Sue walked into the office and wrote a check for $3,000 for several ramps to be installed at the school.

Tonight was also the Diva-Off between Curt and Rachel for the lead in “Defying Gravity” for sectionals. We see a supportive father fight for Curt’s right to audition for a “female” lead for Defying Gravity. It was really touching to see Curt’s Dad stand behind him. But in the end, Curt fumbled the ball and didn’t hit the high “F” in the song. But Curt said he did it on purpose. What, you ask?

Earlier in the day, Curt’s dad received an anonymous phone call that said “You’re son is a fag!” Curt came in just after that and saw the anguish and anger in his dad’s face. Ultimately Curt said his family was more important that some part and that he didn’t want to see his dad hurting.

We also saw the hardships that Finn and Quinn are going thru trying to pay for all the doctor visit. Quinn has been riding Finn pretty hard about manning up and getting a job to support the baby.
