Kevin to Scotty after much drama in the family including his Uncle Saul who finally came out to him.

“All these crazy people in my family are in this insane freefall and completely incapable of being happy and I look at Saul who, who has missed his life, entirely, and I realize how lucky I am. I get to come home to someone who is kind, and caring, and changes the lightbulbs – and, marry me.”

“What” says Scotty

“I mean it, I don’t want to wait I want to make this official…” says Kevin.

“Because I changed the lightbulbs…?” Scotty asks.

“No. Well…yeah, yes, kinda because, Scotty that’s who you are. I am completely, completely, in love you with you. I even love the things about you that I hate. Because you make me feel that I don’t have to be anyone other than who I am and to me that feels like family and that what I want us to be. I want to be a family because that never ends. I’m doing this all wrong…”

Kevin then gets on his knees. “Scotty I am asking you, will you please marry me?”

Scotty gets on his knees. “Yes…yes Kevin I’ll marry you…”

Justin to his mom at the pool:

“Care to make me an omelete” asks Justin
Nora responds, “You’re a man, make it yourself”
“Wow, it’s a brave new world”
“I’ll say… Maybe we should just stay out here a little while longer…”
“That sounds nice”

Tommy to Kevin:

“Why do you always have to be a frickin lawyer?”

Kevin says this about Jason:

“He’s not a saint since he is a minister “

Its been a long weekend and I’m still in some pain, but I managed to stay up to watch Brothers & Sisters. In tonight’s episode the following happened:

  1. Justin was confronted with his drug addiction
  2. Tommy IS sleeping with Lena … still
  3. Saul came out – yes..he came out to Nora
  4. Kevin hasn’t heard from his BF Jason in months
  5. Kitty is still in recovery from the miscarriage
  6. Senator McAllister fires part of his team
  7. Kitty wants to have a baby…now.

The show continues to amaze me. The writing is so good, but with theWriters Guild strike, the show may come to a halt. Its weird everytime I see Rob Lowe on the screen playing Senator McAllister. All I keep seeing is Sam Seaborn from The West Wing.

Brothers & Sisters Quotables of the Night

In tonight’s episode of Brothers & Sisters, Justin comes back from Iraq. Staff members on Senator McAllister’s committee question Kitty’s role. Joe and Sarah might divorce and another clue into Saul’s past life is starting to show.

Tonite’s Quotables

Kevin to Sarah:
“Butchest moment of my life wasted on my sister…”

Kitty to conservative talk show host Luthor Reeves:
“You know what Luthor, you have twisted every word I have said. You and the lunatic fringe that listen to this drivel have ruined this country in hate and subverted conservatism into the ideology of hate…”

Then later on the show while on the Luthor Reeves show, Sentaor McAllister responds:
“I think America is looking for someone who knows the diference (et. al between right and wrong) and the only way to do that is by listening not antagonizing…”

Then when asked why he would be a part of Kitty’s family:
“My future in-laws are very different from me, and different from each other so they are, by definition, my greatest asset. Cuz they remind me of that we are all part of a larger American family – and that no one is irrelevant and no one should be ignored – and Luthor, and I think the bigger question is not why I feel a part of them, but why you don’t.”

Brothers & Sisters is back for Round 2

September 30th, 2007 11:05 pm | No Comments

The Season Premiere of Brothers & Sisters is taking place. It is one year later since they came on screen last year and I have missed them over the summer.

Just like last season, I usually don’t give a review of the episode…I pluck my favorite quotes from the episode.

While in the park with her kids, Sarah is standing around with a bunch of other moms. Her son comes up and says he’s thirsty. Sarah hands him a fruit juice box and starts to hand one to the daughter of one of the other moms…

The daughter’s mom chimes in, “Oooh sorry, we don’t do processed foods. No offense, I know you work…”

Holly and Nora are standing at Williams grave paying their respects. Nora asks Holly to attend Kitty’s birthday party and to see Rebecca, Holly’s daughter.

“Oh I don’t want to impose” says Holly and Nora responds “Holly, you being here at my husband’s grave site, that’s an imposition… you sharing a taco with your daughter I can live with…”

Kitty to Sarah “It’s true what that say, Tequila makes everything better…”

Brothers & Sisters – 5/13/07

Tonight’s Quote:

Uncle Saul to Tommy on the death of his newborn son.

“Because you did what your heart told you to do and that can never be wrong…

Death is part of life.

It would be humorous for us to think we can make any decisions that are only God’s to make.”

“There are no shortcuts in life or in love. This pain must be felt – the alternative is much worse. It’s what makes us special. It makes us beautiful, it makes us worthy. The pain is how we love…

But that pain is accompanied by something else, isn’t it? Hope? With that pain there is hope. Somewhere between agony and optimism and prayer. So you’re human. You’re alive – and that’s what we have.”
