Sick Again?
Well I spent all of Saturday back at The New School of Cooking with my first time behind the burners at the school since I graduated in 2002. I was on my feet all day as I worked a double-shift. I was so exhausted that when I got home I literally collapsed. The entire ride home (Culver City to Mission Viejo) I was feeling out of it and a few times a little disoriented behind the wheel. Suffice it to say, I should have pulled over and rested. I think it was exhaustion and lack of caffeine all day if you ask me.
By the time I made it home I hopped into bed into the familiar feeling of the cotton sheets of the bed. I fell fast asleep to wake up in the middle of the night. My first step out of bed was a wobbly one. My legs almost gave way, then the headache. I took some (1500mg actually) tylenol and went back to bed. I got up hours later at 9:30 and sweaty and achey. Oh shit…I’m not sick again am I. The whole day I have been fighting the headache and my joints hurt like hell.
It’s now almost 12 hours later and I still don’t feel any better. Ugh.
I didn’t get to spend any time with my parents as I found out they left for Vegas on Saturday morning and not expected back until late tonight. I will definitely see them sometime this week. They are here in the States until the 25.
As for the upcoming work week, something tells me things will be busy. For the last few weeks it has been nothing but busy.
