Jon & Kate: Divorce is their Fate
So papers were filed in a Pennsylvania courthouse today for divorce papers for Jon and Kate Gosselin, parents to twins and sextuplets. Their lives have been chronicled on TLC for the last 5 years. Their show, Jon & Kate Plus Eight has been a very successful show for the network.
This blogger has followed this family for years and it quite saddened, but not shocked at how this all turned out. THeir marriage of 10 years ends with allegations of infidelity on Jon’s part and being caught! Kate has been speculated to be having an affiar with their TLV assigned bodyguard, but I feel that may be exaggerated. Kate really does love her kids – and so does Jon.
So what does this mean for the TV show? I’m sure they will continue thru the end of their current contract – who knows. This past weekend, TLC had commercials saying they would be doing a special showing on MOnday and that there was a major announcement to be made. I guess this is the announcement.

I’m not surprised they are getting a divorce. There was something about their relationship that never sat right with me. I have to admit, I never could watch the show for very long without getting annoyed at how the treated each other. If the show ends, I wonder how they are going to keep up with the lifestyle they have created for themselves. They now live in a house that’s worth about $1.4 million. A pretty hefty mortgage payment for “stay-at-home mom”.
