Cold Out of Nowhere
Well on Monday about mid-day I started to feel a slight lump in my throat. Then I started to get a stuffy nose on my right side. Ugh.
Later in the day the lump was much more pronounced and I asked Tim if he had a sore throat. He was sick all weekend long. He said he didn’t. He told me to sip some apple red vinegar diluted with water to get rid of the sore throat. Next thing I know, he is at my desk with a cup of water/vinegar. In my head I’m all like “you keep a bottle of vinegar at work?”. He said to sip this slowly over the next little while.
All I have to say is that is was digusting, but I sat there for the next hour and a half and sipped it.
Later that night I still had the sore throat and did my standby of gargle with salt and water.
I woke up this morning and the sore throat now felt like the size of a softball. In addition I was having the chills and now completely stuffed up. I stayed home from work and slept most of the day. I had a massive headache, probably a sinus headache. I felt like crap. I took some cold medicine and was basically knocked out until like 6pm. Lucky I stayed inside. It got up to 98 degrees today in The OC. We had our little freak thunderstorm yesterday and today the temps shot up almost 20 degrees from Monday. Oddly, the temps drop 15 degrees tomorrow and will come down to the mid to lower 70s as the weekend approaches.
Back to bed for me. Going to try to go to work tomorrow.
