iPhone Mail Tips
So since July 11, I have been LOVING my iPhone. I waited a year to get mine and it was worth every penny.
So for the last 21 days, there have been a few things that have bothered me about handling mail and for some reason, my answers were revealed to me. I currently have three email accounts setup with my iPhone: .Me, my domain mail and Exchange. When looking at a list of emails in any three of my accounts I got frustrated having to tap on each one, wait for the screen to slide to the email and then click on the trash can at the bottom to delete it. It got very cumbersome.
Three days ago, I discovered that if I slide my finger across an email in the listing, a DELETE button would appear and I could then press it and the email would get rid of itself! That fact alone was worth not having to open each email.
Then today, around 4:20 (smile) I accidentally hit something on the screen as I was walking from one of our other buildings at work and while viewing the mail listing, the following screen came up:
I looked down at my screen and was confused initially. It took me a moment to understand what I was looking at and screamed a loud “YES!” I now had a way to select multiple items by selecting the radio button to the left of each email and choose to either DELETE it or MOVE it to another folder. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
While in the regular mail listing view, there is an EDIT button in the upper right-hand corner that I never noticed until today. Pressing that EDIT button in the regular list view enables the multiple selection capability.
Many of you are probably saying you already knew this…but “I” didn’t and I made myself very happy today! For those of you who just learned of this just now, I hope you’re happy too!
