So I was just about to drift to sleep when I heard the chirp of someone turning on their car alarm. At first I wasn’t sure of what I heard, but after a second or two I realized that it was indeed at car alarm chirping on.
But how could I hear it from so far away since the parking lot is closed here at the Sycamore Lane Apartments?? Well I rush to the window and there are cars everywhere?!? When I got home at 5:45 this afternoon, the lot was still closed and there was a stripping crew still on the premises putting in new lines and painting the speed-bumps. I was lucky enough to find a spot on the street when I got home.
Surprised and now awake, I got dressed and moved my car into my spot. I wonder if it was supposed to be open. The paint needed time to set, the top layer of asphalt only got put down this morning. Is it ready to drive on? Will I get in trouble from all the flyers from the management about not walking on the asphalt and any residue on your carpet are on you to clean, not the managements??
If it’s not supposed to be open, Kay is gonna be one pissed person in the morning. Too bad I really don’t care, I’m just glad I don’t have to park at Target anymore.
So upon my inspection of the job done, they didn’t even repave all the areas. My car port area wasn’t even touched! However, other carports have been. We didn’t even get a re-striping in my area. I feel like I didn’t get all the services I was supposed to get as a resident of my apartment complex. You would think that with as much asphalt that they hauled in, you would have gotten all of it, not just parts here and there.
Probably by the weekend, no one will have remembered about the asphalt job of 2008 and will be racing up and down the main drag here, marking up the fresh coat of asphalt.
