Opening Day 2008
Three of my Baseball Teams celebrated their Opening Days today.
I had planned to be in DC for the Opening of the new ballpark for the Nationals, but was unable to get out of town. There was alot of pomp and circumstance today in DC and President Bush made the opening pitch. Let’s just say there were lots of jeers in the crowd and it wasn’t because of his pitch.
Today the Nationals opened the Season with a game with the Phillies. The Nationals won 5-4.
At lunch today, I watched a little bit of the LA Dodgers game against the Giants with a 5-0 win. Brad Penny pitched for about 6 innings and was replaced for the rest of the game. I had lunch at Casa Franco and the game was on the plasma! Yea!
The Angels didn’t do as well against the Twins with the Twins coming out on top 3-2.
Let’s see how the season goes this year. Will the Angels do it two years in a row?
Baseball is back!!!

Woohoo! Baseball season! So glad you put a spot about baseball in here. I am super excited that Joe Torre is with the Dodgers now. Let’s go to the playoffs! Living up here in Giants country, I don’t get to see the Dodgers all that much (or the Angels either)until they play either the Giants (or the A’s). But here’s to a big win yesterday over the Giants. Go big D…
