Been a Busy Week!

Sorry I haven’t written much in the last week. So let’s recap really fast.

Monday – dad moved from ICU to a regular room, will have dialysis  – busy at work

Tuesday – Dad doing much better – had our IT staff meeting

Wednesday – It’s my nephew Damian’s birthday. He’ll be 15.  He’s such the young man now.  We were supposed to meet at mom and dad’s but dad was feeling tired. I brought him some food.  My sister and the kids were at Fuddruckers for his party – it was a small gig for something bigger this weekend…I think.

Thursday – still busy at work.  Just lots of busy work.  Dad will have dialysis tomorrow. He’s upa nd walking much more.

Friday – what a day. Had my weekly 1on1 staff meeting.  Lots of initiatives for 2008.  I want to decorate for the Holidays.

Feeling Lonely

Over the last few weeks I have been feeling very lonely. I see those commercials on TV where the guy is driving in the car and he is looking over at his wife – she doesn’t know he’s looking. He’s so happy to be with her. Then they show them holding hands and he give her a Journey Diamond Pendant.

The other commercial is when the husband gets up in the middle of the night to close the window and disappears down the hallway. We then see him come back, crawl into bed, and place a diamond pendant on his wife. His wife wakes up to what is on where chest and she finds the pendant. The husband is pretending to sleep and the wife leans over to kiss him and he slowly smiles.

My romantic side wants to do that to someone….. someday.

BAMM!

Emeril LegasseEmeril Legasse will shoot the final episode of Emeril Live on December 11.

After 10 years, Emeril will no longer have an audience based show. The very successful 10 year fun was one of the Food Networks core shows.  Emeril also produces another show called The Essence of Emeril. That show is still on the books and continues to film. 

Emeril is on contract with the Food Network so it will be interesting to see what they have up their sleeves for Emeril.

Battlestar Galactica: Razor

Well I have been glued to the set since 9:00.

What do we know so far? This movie event takes place just after Lee took command of the Pegasus. This is before the occupation of New Caprica.

Well it turns out the Admiral Helena Cain and “Gina” were lovers. This was before we find out that Gina, the network engineer, is “Six”

This now kinda explains why Admiral Cain was so hard on the cylon and treated her the way she did aboard Pegasus.

My Black Friday

I didn’t buy a thing.

Nada.

I was in bed most of the day and not feeling well. My knee was also acting up from all the running around yesterday, so I decided to stay down today.

I went to the hospital this evening and helped feed my dad some jello. My mom left for home earlier and my dad’s food try was still full. It didn’t look very good though. After feeding dad some food, I headed back home. I stopped off at Target thinking I would still find some of those hard drives that were on sale for $89…all gone.

Gonna get some rest. Hope you had a good Black Friday.
