Shake, Rattle and Thunder
Well I got up really early this morning. Jesse and Shane called me on the cell phone at 7:05 this morning. They are in Bristol, UK setting up for a tradeshow with a system I helped on with a MacMini as a server running a multi-user system using Flash, PHP and SFSPro along with 2 iMacs outfitting with a touchscreen. They had some technical support issues and thankfully, my brain woke up before my eyes did and was able to walk them thru it.
Going back to sleep I got back up at about 10:15. Turned on the TV and started my scrolling thru my normal daily sites.
Then…. a violent shake then alot of residual shaking, tapering off to nothingness.
It was an EARTHQUAKE. The first one I have felt since moving back to California in 2005. Why did it take so long?!?! Today’s quake was a 4.7 in the Santa Ana Mountains. This is not known as a highly active fault area, but all faults lead to the big fault, the Andreas.
I was happy to feel it.
Four hours later..we had a Thunderstorm alert and the skies started to get grey. The cloud let loose and then things opened back up to blue skies. It was in the upper 90s inching up towards the 100 degree mark again here in The OC>
