Heart Scare
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, I started to feel pressure on my chest after excercise or lifting items over distances. I didn’t think much of it on Monday , but Tuesday after lifting several G5 computers and monitors, I felt it wasn’t normal. I called Kaiser and talked to the advise nurse and they told me to report to the ER. I asked if I could just go to urgentcare since I was feeling fine when I wasn’t exerting myself. She said no. My co-worker Scott was within earshot of my conversation with the nurse and he followed me to the ER at Irvine Regional.
Once I got there, it brought back bad memories. They placed me in the same room where I had my attack back in February. They did a chest x-ray, drew blood, did an EKG and put me on nitroglycerin. After 2 hours in the ER, the doctor said they were checking me in for observation. I asked if I could go home and check back in the next morning and he said no. I was stuck there for the night.
The rest of the night was a sleepness one. I was up all night and tring to sleep in the most uncomfortable bed in the hospital. I started getting a headache as a result of the nitro. They drew blood a few times and the nurses kept coming in to do a BP check. The next morning, they ran another EKG. I was told they wanted to do a stress test on a treadmill. After the tests they made me hang around the hospital until the cardiologist could analyze my readings from the test.
Finally around 5pm, the doc cleared me for release. EKGs were normal and all my bloodtests were fine. I’m home and happy to be in my own bed.

Dude. I can’t believe this. Let me know if you want me to swing down to help out at all. Damian and I can cook a meal and come down to eat with you. Either that or a movie. Let me know.
