Songs That Inspire – It’s Idol Gives Back Night
Chris Richardson – Change The World
Up first is cutie Chris. Oops…some pitch problems. Seems that the song is being rushed. I don’t know….I don’t know about Change The World…let’s try Change The Song. Not my fave for starters tonite. But all three judges liked you, even Simon!
Score: 7
Melinda Doolittle – There Will Come a Day
The song started off weird for me, but when the chorus came up, it became a Melinda song for me. Strong, solid vocals. Nice look tonite.
Score: 8.5
Blake Lewis – Imagine
Imagine this. Nice slow start. oops..missed that falsetto bro. The song seems too sad for this evening. The song is inspiring, but its seems slow and sad. Vocally it wasn’t too hard, nothing to wow me tonite.
Score: 7
LaKisha Jones – I Believe
I’m not sure…Singing a song from a former Idol Winner. Diana DiGarmo sang this song better than Fantasia in my opinion. Your tempo is a bit slow that the original. I dunno…..hmmmm. Nothing vocally spectacular to me. Sorry.
Score: 7
Phil Stacey – The Change
Dude…you’re a man from the US Military, wear proper clothing. Ok….Country is undeniably your strong point. Good song choice and good tempo. Again, I try not to look at the screen and just listen and I like it. Good control, good vocals. However, I take a peek at the screen and I want to laugh! Sorry Phil….but I enjoyed the performance this evening. Really.
Score: 8.8
Jordin Sparks – You’ll Never Walk Alone
C’mon Jordin bring it! Close out the evening strong! Oooh…I feel it…you’re leading up to a strong finish. Nice soft-spoken beginning. Pitch control is good. Emotions seem in check. You’re really feeling this song. It almost seemed like screaming there at the end..be careful.
Score: 8
Who is going home?? I think it will be Chris.
