3 MacPros and a 20″ iMac

Last week, I was authorized to purchase a few new systems for new employees starting up at work. We have new people starting in the Studio and I had to get them ready. I ordered 3 new MacPro 2.66 machines with 4GB of ram. I also got a 2.33 20″ iMac that we will be setting up as a freelancer station. This set of systems bring our Intel Mac count to 6. That’s not including my MacBook which I use for work instead of the old G4 that the last IT guy had.

I can’t wait to get these units in!! Yea!

A Nite with a Potential Oscar and “A”

Tonite A and I went to the movies. I told A that I wanted to see as many Oscar contenders as I could this year. So tonite, we went to see Babel. We were going to get a lite dinner prior to the movie, but we were running a bit late. So we decided to eat movie theater food and grab something afterwards. I bought the tickets online and just had to pick them up. We both shared some popcorn and he also had a hot dog. The previews were coming on and oddly enough, there was only one. Maybe there were more, but maybe I was distracted by my date. [smile]

The movie itself was well paced and I enjoyed the movie. Without giving much away, I got a little lost when they would do a sequence that was in the past after the current scene. The movie was kind of long at 2 hours 22 minutes. All thru the movie my attention was between me and the screen and my date. All thru the movie I kept trying to make it so my leg would touch A’s, but I wasn’t successful.

the movie ended and we tried to find something to eat, but everythin was closed. “A” took me home and we hugged and said good nite. We might have dinner on Thursday.

OC Rental Market sucks!

Do you know how long I have been looking for a place to live? I know I haven’t concentrated on looking very hard, but it has been 3 months and the pickings aren’t that great.

If you have a studio or 1bd apt/condo for rent in the Irvine, Tustin, Orange, Lake Forest or Laguna Hills area, please let me know. If you have a room for rent and it has a private bath and you’re pretty laid back and easy going, let me know too.

A New Niece! My sister had a baby!

My sister Beth gave birth to their third child this morning. As I was heading out to work, I got the call that she just had a baby girl!! They haven’t named her yet, but she was 3 weeks premature and came into the world at 5 lbs 9 oz. Both mom and baby are doing well. Baby Panusis (my sister’s family name) is joined by her sister ToniLyn and brother Dallas.

My parents are driving out to Vegas tomorrow to visit. I unfortunately have to stay behind here in Irvine.

The 11th Anniversary of my 29th Birthday

It hit me today. It hit me hard. This year I celebrate turning 40. THE BIG 40.

I decided that I don’t look 40 and that to make myself feel better about this milestone in my life, I will be celebrating the 11th Anniversary of my 29th birthday!

I’m sure I’ll be going thru quite a few freak-out moments as I approach the big day on April 22.

So bear with me…it’s going to be a bumpy ride between now and then.

More Macs at CTU – 24 6.5

Tonite there were even more Apple sightings at CTU and at the White House. It is nice to know that President Palmer uses a MacBook Pro all the way down in that bunker! Chloe and some of her teammates at CTU in Los Angeles are sporting MacBook Pros and 23″ Apple Cinema Displays!

Yea Apple for product placement!

Maybe in the next “Day” they will all be sporting iPhones as standard equipment for all CTU personnel.
