Idol Chat – The Finale
Its about 45 minutes since the Finale aired and I’ve been watching House MD on Fox trying to distract myself from what I have to say was the worse American Idol ever!
I agree with Simon, thru the end of the 2nd set set, both Katharine and Taylor were probably tied. Then came the “debut” songs. Who the hell wrote that song for Katharine?!?! Please, please tell me that you didn’t pick this song Kat. Paula and Randy were right, you are brilliant, but the song sucked! There is a weird part of me that hopes you don’t win, so we don’t have to hear that song on the radio for weeks to come after your win. But I luv you Kat, so I continue to hit redial on the phone trying to get my votes in.
Now Taylor, you were EQUALLY brilliant tonite, but I do have to say that your debut song was WAY better than Kat’s. This song spoke to who you are as a performer and where your talents lie. It will be interesting to see how America will vote tonite. Taylor, I have to tell it like I see it, you were spectacular tonite. Kat seemd unsure of herself and was unsure of her abilities in her last song. With that said, I still want Kat to win, but I will understand if America picks you. You will do well and no matter what happens, I look forward to hearing you BOTH on the radio soon!
