Magic not so magical

July 30th, 2005 10:19 pm

This entry is to make up for the one I didn’t do last nite. I got a few emails from new readers that they didn’t have anything to read with their morning coffee. We had our Mac meeting this morning. MAGIC was down (again) so we couldn’t review tickets at the beginning of the meeting. We then moved to me. I started an institutional dump of information to the rest of the team. Projects I was working on, tickets in flux and any other information that needed to be transferred. We talked about the Zeus infrastructure project, status on Digital Photo, asset management, Adobe and “the project”. Remember “the project” from a few months ago. Well, its kinda back. After about an hour, the gang finally understood what it was I have been working on for the last few months. The Zeus infrastructure project alone will require a full time person for a couple of months. We then got access to MAGIC again. We reviewed tickets and then we called it quits. My cell phone was ringing off the hook this morning. I’ve got like 2 dozen moving companies vying for my business

John, Joe and I went to Hanu Haru for lunch today. John hadn’t been out for sushi in a long time and he tagged along with Joe and me. I had my regular serving of salmon sushi and Unagi. John went for Unagi, California rolls and a spider roll. Joe had his usual as well. Can I tell you how much I will miss having lunch with Joe? I liked our bi-weekly sushi lunches.

After lunch I got to tickets and tired working on a few Final Cut Pro problems we are still having with Ian Richter’s system. No luck again from tech support. I’m still waiting to hear back from our legal guys about how to wrap up “the project”.

After work I went home and ran a few errands. I was really tired. I took a short nap and watched Buffy on UPN. This was the episode where Buffy gets a haircut, discovers the geek-trio and ends up boinking Spike. I went online to do some roommate/apt hunting and came up empty.

Time for bed….nite!
